High-Precision Detection Safety Light Curtain DK-QM Series with a Resolution of Up to 2.5 mm
The High-Precision DK-QM series measurement-type light curtains are suitable for real-time product size and profile measurement, edge and center guiding, loop tension control, hole detection, part counting, and similar applications.
Typical Applications
Cardboard Box Dimension Measurement
Measures the length, width, and height of objects, and sends the data to the backend program for volume calculation.
Counting of Dropped Flat Small Objects
Utilizes a unique synchronized multi-beam infrared LED transmission and reception system for high-precision detection, creating accurate light cross patterns, with the ability to detect extremely small objects.
Wood Shape Dimension Measurement
Used for detecting the diameter of round wood, especially for wood surface processing. Before the wood enters the peeling equipment, its outer diameter is measured, and fixtures and peeling tools are adjusted based on the size. Accurate measurement helps ensure production stability and prevents equipment damage.
Wood Cutting
Measures the length of wood boards and detects any deformation. Boards that exceed the specified dimensions will be rejected. Length measurement can also determine if the board is warped, as warping can lead to changes in length.
Tire Classification
Two sets of measurement light curtains are used to detect the inner and outer diameters of tires, determining which conveyor belt the tire should be sent to. Tires that do not meet any of the specifications will be rejected and sent back for packaging.
Small Object Counting
During production, small screws are conveyed from the feeder bucket to plastic bags. The light curtain counts the dropped screws and monitors the quantity in each bag. The receiver’s output includes a 5-millisecond pulse stretcher (off-delay) to improve counting accuracy.
Punch Hole Detection
Detects missing punch holes on metal plates or holes in rolled materials during cutting.
Fabric Blanket Detection
When the fabric blanket passes through the measurement light curtain, the light curtain detects the edges of the blanket and woven clusters, then sends a signal to the control system for position correction.
Part Assembly Production with Indicator Lights
Safety light curtains are used to guide assembly workers in correctly picking up parts, preventing missing parts or assembly order errors.

High-precision Safety Light Curtain DK-QM Series
The DK-QM series light curtains are primarily used for object size detection, hole detection, and other applications. The detection accuracy can reach as low as 3.75 mm, with support for multiple parameter configurations. It features comprehensive self-diagnosis and fault monitoring functions. The digital display intuitively shows various operating statuses, making it easy for users to operate. The light curtain also supports lamp bead shielding through the host computer, and it has strong anti-interference capabilities, enabling stable operation in environments with significant interference from servo motors and other machinery.
Application of Safety Light Curtains in E-Commerce Conveyor Systems
Safety light curtains work in conjunction with high-speed, high-precision e-commerce small scales. When the light curtain detects a passing package, it outputs a signal. The next-stage equipment receives the signal and immediately executes the preset instructions.
