Working Principle & Applications
The retroreflective (mirror reflective) design uses a single device plus a reflector: the emitter and receiver share the housing, and the beam returns from the reflector. An object is detected when it interrupts the returned light. This makes the DK-GF18 ideal for detecting opaque objects at long range without running cables to both sides of the line. Typical applications include conveyor part counting, packaging machine positioning, pallet and carton presence detection, and logistics sorting systems.
